Job description

Are you passionate about supporting veterans as they transition into meaningful careers? Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) is looking for a dedicated Employment Transition Manager to help guide, support, and advocate for service members, veterans, and their families on their journey to civilian employment.

In this role, you’ll provide personalized career services, connect clients to valuable resources, and cultivate relationships with employer partners to expand hiring opportunities.

What You’ll Do:

Support Veterans One-on-One

  • Help clients build effective resumes (civilian and federal), prepare for interviews, and develop job search strategies

  • Identify and overcome employment barriers by offering personalized guidance and referrals to supportive services

  • Track progress and maintain accurate case documentation using Salesforce

  • Stay connected with clients after training to encourage lasting success

Engage with Employers & the Community

  • Partner with employers to promote job opportunities and advocate for client placement

  • Represent OJRV at hiring events and community meetings

  • Share client resumes and facilitate introductions to potential employers

  • Keep employer and outreach data organized and up to date

Deliver the VETS Course

  • Recruit participants for the VETS seminar and assist with delivery (virtual or in-person)

  • Provide resume coaching, career planning, and instruction during sessions

  • Coordinate with employers for the Graduation and Hiring Fair

  • Support course facilitation and instruction as needed

What You Bring:

  • A passion for helping veterans and military families thrive

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Experience with career coaching, workforce development, or case management (preferred)

  • Comfort with public speaking and virtual instruction

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is a plus
