The EMR Applications Trainer provides training for the Care Connections Nurse Practitioner’s team. The role will include workflow design, testing, training, and ongoing support of clinical staff. Additionally, staff will support the Supervising Physicians who perform monthly chart reviews.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Main duties & responsibilities of the role):
Workflow analysis, training, implementation, and on-going support of the EMR application.
Identifies, troubleshoots, and documents any EMR system functionality issues.
Creates and provides training related to the EMR application for clinical staff
Escalates and responds to application malfunctions to related groups such as IT and Help Desk Support.
Preferred Education
Associate Degree, LPN/LVN Certification
Required Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Advanced computer skills. Proficient with Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Records
Clinical training experience
Preferred Experience
EMR implementation, integration, and administration
3/5-year experience as LPN/LVN, ideally in home health, community health, or public health setting
Previous experience in management of chronic conditions
Experience with underserved populations facing socioeconomic barriers to health care
Bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus
Immunization and point of care testing skills
Preferred License, Certification, Association
EMR Vendor Certification, Microsoft or Technical certifications, Medical Billing Training/Certification
