As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation by leading engineering efforts across new product introductions, enhancements to existing solutions, and the long-term sustainability of our portfolio. Your mission is to ensure technical excellence, deliver outstanding product quality, and support customer satisfaction — all while contributing to the continuous improvement of our industrial performance.
In this strategic position, you will lead complex engineering analyses to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations and certifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Marketing, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality) in stage-gate product development projects, as assigned by engineering management. Provide technical leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with key milestones and deliverables. Coordinate and facilitate technical design reviews across R&D functions to ensure alignment and risk mitigation.
Apply advanced problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and perform engineering analyses on HVAC valve and actuator assemblies and components. Ensure products meet performance, quality, and reliability targets.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical and regulatory risks across the product portfolio to ensure successful project execution and compliance with applicable safety and industry standards.
Lead product validation and verification activities, including the definition and execution of test strategies, protocols, and acceptance criteria.
Execute robust design practices, including 8D problem solving, design reviews, product verification and validation, statistical design of experiments (DOE), tolerance stack-up analysis, engineering change management, and technical documentation development and release.
Integrate manufacturing considerations into the design process, including design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), supplier collaboration, and dimensional control of components and assemblies.
Create and validate 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to support internal development and external supplier communication. Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative design is preferred.
Validate FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) and PPEP (Production Part Evaluation Process) documentation using statistical methods and pilot run data analysis.
Review and assess technical reports and engineering analyses conducted by internal teams and external partners, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals.
Act as a technical advisor to other engineering teams and provide expert support to Quality and Marketing functions in resolving field issues, customer complaints, and product returns.
