Our team is searching for a knowledgeable and results-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to bridge strategic leadership with day-to-day execution. This role will be embedded within the FP&A team, supporting hands-on financial operations such as budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, while also coaching analysts to become business-savvy experts. The Manager will play a critical role in translating data into insight and fostering team development through active mentorship and feedback.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Lead the planning and execution of budgeting, forecasting, fair value assessments, and performance metrics tracking to support business objectives.
• Partner with Asset Management to identify and implement strategies that drive revenue growth and cost efficiencies across the self-storage portfolio.
• Support the development and rollout of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing long-term operational effectiveness and business performance.
• Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations to optimize asset outcomes.
• Deliver concise and impactful reports and presentations for senior leadership, focusing on performance drivers, business trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, asset management, operations, and investments, to provide integrated business insights and operational support.
• Ensure that all financial practices comply with industry regulations and company policies. - Work closely with analysts on their daily deliverables, offering regular coaching and ensuring analytical output includes commentary and potential business recommendations.
• dentify opportunities for reporting improvements and lead the evolution of existing KPI frameworks to provide more actionable insights.
• Act as a liaison between analysts and senior leadership to ensure deliverables meet expectations and drive business results.\
• Support the Director of FP&A by surfacing team insights, developing analyst capabilities, and contributing to the broader financial strategy.
  
  
  

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

• A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field is generally required.
• Holding or working towards CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional designation would be an asset.
• 8+ years of experience of related experience. Experience within the self-storage or real estate industry is considered an asset.
• Superior background in analytics, math, and problem solving.
• Ability to manage time effectively to handle competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, as well as excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel within Canada or the US as required.
• Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new and constant changes.
