Our team is searching for a knowledgeable and results-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to bridge strategic leadership with day-to-day execution. This role will be embedded within the FP&A team, supporting hands-on financial operations such as budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, while also coaching analysts to become business-savvy experts. The Manager will play a critical role in translating data into insight and fostering team development through active mentorship and feedback.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Lead the planning and execution of budgeting, forecasting, fair value assessments, and performance metrics tracking to support business objectives.
Partner with Asset Management to identify and implement strategies that drive revenue growth and cost efficiencies across the self-storage portfolio.
Support the development and rollout of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing long-term operational effectiveness and business performance.
Translate financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations to optimize asset outcomes.
Deliver concise and impactful reports and presentations for senior leadership, focusing on performance drivers, business trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, asset management, operations, and investments, to provide integrated business insights and operational support.
Ensure that all financial practices comply with industry regulations and company policies. - Work closely with analysts on their daily deliverables, offering regular coaching and ensuring analytical output includes commentary and potential business recommendations.
dentify opportunities for reporting improvements and lead the evolution of existing KPI frameworks to provide more actionable insights.
Act as a liaison between analysts and senior leadership to ensure deliverables meet expectations and drive business results.\\
Support the Director of FP&A by surfacing team insights, developing analyst capabilities, and contributing to the broader financial strategy.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field is generally required.
Holding or working towards CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional designation would be an asset.
8+ years of experience of related experience. Experience within the self-storage or real estate industry is considered an asset.
Superior background in analytics, math, and problem solving.
Ability to manage time effectively to handle competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, as well as excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Willing to travel within Canada or the US as required.
Ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new and constant changes.
