Responsibilities
Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems.
Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for onboard ship and submarine research.
Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software.
Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software at customer site in West Bethesda, MD.
Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results.
Some travel (< 5%) required to customer test sites for software system installation, checkout, operation, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Active Secret clearance desired or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, Applied Math, or closely related field.
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience developing LabVIEW software.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $77,600.00/Yr. - USD $129,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
