Job description

Role: PeopleTools Senior Consultant
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work Hours: EST Hours
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, Mon-Fri
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in USA)

We are seeking an experienced PeopleTools Senior Consultant . This person will conduct PeopleTools gap analysis, design future state upgrade, upgrade PeopleTools and train client's end users on PeopleTools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the PeopleTools Upgrade - design, development, and deployment of PeopleSoft enhancements using PeopleTools (Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, SQR, Integration Broker, etc.)
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand user needs and design customizations or new functionality within PeopleTools.
  • Lead upgrade project including Fit/Gap analysis, retrofitting customizations, and supporting system testing.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and performance tuning for PeopleSoft/PeopleTools applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, unit test plans, and deployment guides.
  • Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and consultants on PeopleTools development and architecture.
  • Stay up to date with new PeopleTools and PeopleSoft features, patches, and security updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in PeopleSoft development with a strong focus on PeopleTools 8.5x and later versions.
  • Proficiency in key PeopleTools components: PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interfaces, Workflow, BI Publisher, Integration Broker.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one full-cycle PeopleTools upgrade.
  • Solid understanding of PeopleSoft HCM, FSCM, or Campus Solutions modules.
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft security, Change Assistant, and Application Designer.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid UI and mobile/responsive design.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF).
  • Prior consulting experience with a major ERP implementation partner.
  • Oracle certifications in PeopleTools or PeopleSoft applications.
