Who are we looking for?
Our Toronto office is seeking a highly skilled Engineering 3D Modeller to create detailed 3D models for immersive visualization solutions, including integration into the Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, strong technical expertise in AutoCAD and Revit, and a passion for transforming engineering concepts into engaging visual experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
3D Model Creation: Develop accurate and high-quality 3D models for various engineering applications, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
Immersive Visualization: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement immersive visualization solutions using Unreal Engine, enhancing user interaction and understanding.
CAD Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create and modify architectural and engineering models, ensuring seamless integration with 3D visualization projects.
Technical Integration: Optimize 3D models for performance in Unreal Engine, ensuring compatibility and maintaining visual quality.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to gather requirements and deliver models that meet functional and aesthetic needs.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of models, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards and project guidelines.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for modeling processes, asset specifications, and best practices to ensure consistency and clarity across projects.
Research & Development: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in 3D modeling and immersive visualization, implementing innovative techniques as applicable.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in 3D modeling, particularly for engineering applications.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with experience in creating and modifying engineering designs.
Familiarity with Unreal Engine or similar 3D visualization software, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
Excellent attention to detail, with a strong sense of aesthetics and design.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
Effective communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with additional 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, 3ds Max) and animation techniques.
Knowledge of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies.
Understanding of industry standards for 3D modeling and visualization.
