Our activities take place all year round, so you must be ready to work in all weather conditions.
As a member of the ground operations team, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient coordination and execution of activities related to flight arrivals and departures. You will be responsible for ensuring strict compliance with safety standards, customer service, and punctuality.
Guide aircraft to their parking areas for departures and arrivals;
Operate various types of equipment and vehicles to provide the necessary services for flight arrivals and departures;
Comply with legal regulations in the aviation industry, workplace health and safety rules, and all other company policies and procedures;
Be prepared to act appropriately in emergencies and apply necessary response measures;
Perform any other tasks required for the smooth operation of ramp activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma (DES) or equivalent experience;
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (driver, handler, delivery person, etc.);
Hold a valid Canadian Class 5 driver’s license;
Must be able to obtain and maintain a RAIC yellow card before the first day of training and a red card before 6 months;
Must obtain a DA ramp permit within the first 3 months of employment (you will have 3 attempts through the BAP to pass it);
Pass a medical exam required by Air Transat, as well as applicable security checks, including criminal record;
Available and flexible to work a variety of schedules (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays);
Ability to repeatedly lift loads of 32 kg (70 lb). Must be able to bend frequently, push/pull, stack, and kneel in small confined spaces;
Ability to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, aircraft loading manifests and baggage and cargo routing labels;
Ability to work in different climatic conditions;
Value teamwork, ensure presence and punctuality for the smooth operation of activities;
A good command of French is required for our positions in Quebec.
Additional Information
This position is located at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport.
The work uniform and airport parking are provided.
The position is temporary for the summer season. (July to October)
