Responsible for providing person-centred patient assessments and interventions in collaboration with the interprofessional team, including recommendations for follow-up as required [i.e. Home Care Program, community or rehabilitation resources]. Actively participates in inter-professional team activities such as team meetings, clinical rounds, team huddles and quality improvement initiatives.
Participates in continuing professional development activities including the provision of clinical and educational in-services that fosters ongoing learning, professionalism, interprofessional collaborations, and best practices in physiotherapy.
Participates in the supervision and education of physiotherapy students on an ongoing basis.
Is an expert resource for; staff, students, and other health care providers related to physiotherapy in the Tory Trauma Program.
Participates in discipline-specific and interprofessional quality improvement activities within Physiotherapy Services and the Tory Trauma Program.
Practices in accordance with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario standards of practice.

Qualifications/Skills
MSc[PT] or equivalent
Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association of Ontario preferred
Experience in neurosurgery and orthopaedics
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong problem solving, time-management and organizational skills
Excellent professional judgment, conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, team members, students and community partners
Evidence of good attendance, a satisfactory performance history and a discipline-free record required
