Linguist ( Portugal/UK/EU )

Location: Remote (within Portugal, the UK, or the EU)
Availability: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Project Duration: 9 months from start date

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a native-level Italian linguist with a strong understanding of speech and language. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, comfortable working with audio data, and capable of collaborating closely with scientists and technical teams.

Having an additional language such as French, German, or Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess the quality of speech in Italian

• Categorize and annotate speech according to provided specifications

• Interact and collaborate with a team of scientists on a daily basis

• Report findings and contribute to ongoing process improvements

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Italian

• Background in linguistics, speech processing, or a related field

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Ability to discuss and evaluate audio/speech quality confidently

• Comfortable working full-time on a long-term project (9 months)

• Additional language skills (French, German, or Spanish) are a plus
