Job description

This is a remote position.

20 hours a week

Flexible 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Ontario time


Scope:

  • Working hours within EST 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM timeframe

  • Remote position with flexible scheduling

  • Managing finances for a team of approximately 20 people

  • Interfacing with external accountant for tax filings

  • Supporting operations across multiple business units


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all QuickBooks operations and financial record-keeping

  • Process and track invoices for completed deals

  • Monitor and record all expenses related to materials, supplies, and labor

  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Follow up on outstanding payments, particularly with builders

  • Create and deliver weekly financial reports to business partners

  • Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records

  • Track deal closures and associated financial implications

  • Process and organize financial documentation for external accountant filings

Requirements:

  • QuickBooks certification/proficiency

  • Strong English communication skills

  • Experience with bookkeeping and financial record-keeping

  • Ability to work independently and maintain organized systems

  • Proficiency with financial reporting and analysis

  • Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in numerical work

  • Experience with construction/contractor accounting preferred
