Job description

The Manager of B2B Sales and Telemarketing will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing a team of telemarketers. This role will focus on reaching out to bars and taverns across the state, pitching our services, generating quality leads, and supporting business growth.


Additionally, this manager will take a hands-on approach, rolling up their sleeves to perform the work alongside their team. This direct involvement will help them learn first-hand about challenges, identify successful pitches, and step in full-time if needed as we get this operation off the ground. As the team grows, the manager will play a critical role in building out a staff of four, including themselves.

They will also pitch the idea of purchasing bars to potential leads, manage incoming calls when the automated system cannot handle them, and direct callers to the appropriate department or person.

The role includes overseeing quality control efforts for our 3rd-party customers, following up on new installs (conducting 5–10 checks per week), and ensuring our team delivers a top-notch experience.

The breakdown of responsibilities is as follows:
  • 80%: Soliciting 3rd-party bars to generate warm leads.
  • 10%: Handling incoming calls and directing inquiries.
  • 10%: Conducting customer service and quality control checks.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor a team of telemarketers to ensure high performance and professionalism.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies targeting bars and taverns statewide, including pitching bar purchase ideas.
  • Performance Monitoring: Set team goals and metrics, regularly review performance, and provide coaching to achieve targets.
  • Outreach Oversight: Oversee outbound and inbound call handling, email campaigns, and quality customer interactions.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular follow-ups on new installs and ensure 3rd-party customers receive excellent service.
  • Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on team performance, campaign effectiveness, and lead conversion rates.
  • Compliance: Ensure all team activities adhere to relevant telemarketing regulations and company policies.


Requirements
  • 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, telemarketing, or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, and manage a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Proficient in CRM software – Monday.com and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in the bar, tavern, or hospitality industry is a plus.
