What Product Systems Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health

Commercial Technologies manages the enterprise's portfolio of commercial technologies to maximize the business value of the technologies and enhance the customer experience. This function creates strategies for the portfolio and innovative solutions based on relationships with business leaders, develops back-end solutions and capabilities, and improves the front-end experience.

The OptiFreight IT Team supports transportation data (EDI), cost audit, pricing, and customer invoicing. We are looking for a Customer Support Analyst to join our team to assist with analysis and customer technology questions, integration needs, and suggest solutions for customer requests. 

This is a business/customer-facing role, and will require someone with technical expertise, analytical skills, good organization, and solid communication skills. The OptiFreight IT Team builds and runs our own applications and infrastructure—this team member will partner directly with our own engineers, as well as collaborate with external software providers. We work in a highly-collaborative, environment, and look for new team members who are accountable, motivated and engaging team players, adaptable learners, and creative problem solvers.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable in customer-facing roles, with strong communication skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset: Ability to translate technical issues into clear, actionable steps for pharmacy customers and internal teams.
  • Software engineering fundamentals: Solid grasp of object-oriented programming, version control (Git), and debugging techniques across the stack. Understanding of browser applications
  • API integration and troubleshooting: Hands-on experience with REST APIs, including authentication (OAuth2, API keys), payload validation, and using tools like Postman or Swagger. Experience supporting or integrating with third-party platforms.
  • PostgreSQL expertise: Ability to write and optimize SQL queries, understand relational data models, and perform data validation or migration tasks.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Familiarity with GCP services such as Cloud SQL, App Engine, Cloud Functions, and IAM for managing application environments and access control.
  • Java (Spring Boot preferred): Experience with backend services, RESTful API development, and debugging Java-based microservices.
  • CI/CD and DevOps basics: Understanding of deployment pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Cloud Build), logging (Stack Driver/Cloud Logging), and monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus).
  • Scripting and automation: Ability to write scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate onboarding tasks or data transformations.
  • Experience with process mapping and documenting workflows
  • Strong skills in gathering and defining business and technical requirements
  • Knowledge of pharmacy operations, software systems, and pharmacy management systems (PMSs)

Anticipated salary range: $79,700 - $113,800
