Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronic Technology, Imaging Service Technology or a related field OR related military training.
In lieu of degree, three (3) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement.
Minimum Experience Required
Five (5) years of experience (expert trained) performing corrective and preventive maintenance on high tech diagnostic equipment as: CT, MRI, Cath & IR labs, Nuclear Med, Mammography, Linear Accelerators.
In lieu of degree, eight (8) years of relevant experience required.
Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law
None.
Additional Qualifications
Certified Radiology Equipment Service (CRES) is preferred.
Vendor raining preferred.
Must possess specialized training by manufacturer or third-party equipment repair in high end equipment such Diagnostic Imaging Service.
Working knowledge of, imaging technology, medical terminology, medical instrumentation, anatomy, and/or physiology service techniques.
Broad knowledge and up-to-date understanding of OSHA, NFPA, DNV, TJC, , FDA and other specific state and federal regulations and standards pertaining to equipment service and repair.
