Your Role:

The Sr. Surgical Infrastructure Specialist drives the validity and verification of infrastructure projects (lights, booms, and Helion integration) and establishes an understanding of the portfolio's driven differentiation to clearly define the value proposition for Baxter products and services. This role works closely with Baxter leadership to develop and implement sales strategies that deliver comprehensive solutions and provide direction for the sales teams it supports. The Specialist is analytical and adapts to individual needs offering a collaborative approach that best supports the sales region's dedication to Baxter’s customers and their patients.

What you'll be doing:

  • Demonstrate strong operating room design and planning skills to provide solutions to key clinical, administrative, and technical partners.

  • Serve as product-specific authority for sales teams’ infrastructure portfolio to provide insight on business market drivers, project planning, and room design validation.

  • Proficient with 3D room design tools to develop custom clinical workflow solutions, and drive room design principles for all hospital departments that present opportunities for Baxter infrastructure portfolio including all OR specialties, ICU, ED/Trauma, Endoscopy, and Radiology.

  • Subject matter expert for systems requirements to ensure quoting accuracy.

  • Provide local support for strategic Enterprise Accounts team initiatives across major IDNs.

  • Collaborate with internal business partners to promote the entire Baxter Care and Connectivity Solution ecosystem. As well as, cross-functional teams, including marketing, project management, and service to communicate regional needs and market conditions.

  • Coordinate customer sales support activities: Lead project planning and architectural drawing discussions. Present infrastructure products to a diverse audience including Administrators, Surgeons, Biomedical Engineers, Architects, IT Executives, and Equipment Planners. Coordinate Customer Experience Center and Service Center visits, as appropriate.

  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities. Provide competitive product knowledge to effectively communicate Baxter’s value proposition for each product category.

What you'll bring:

  • 6+ years of operating room sales experience (medical device capital equipment experience preferred), OR 9 years relevant experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Proven experience selling or project management in the healthcare field; Capital Medical Equipment is highly preferred.

  • Surgical light and boom sales and operating room design are highly preferred.

  • Ability to travel throughout the region up to 50% of the time.

  • A proactive collaborator who works in a consultative, adaptable manner, with a team approach to effectively plan and drive result-driven strategies.

  • Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize and support multiple sales support initiatives simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact and present to partners at all levels.

  • Ability to clearly articulate economic drivers, structure complex selling strategies, and reach pivotal agreements within the sales cycle.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 - $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
