Conduct initial intake interviews with parents or guardians to assess their needs and concerns.
Provide quality customer service when answering telephones to address concerns of parents, private school representatives, Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) providers, and other healthcare and community based agencies.
Perform administrative functions that assists the evaluation teams in meeting mandatory timelines and providing high quality services.
Process information of a confidential nature documenting parental concerns and student demographic information to assist in the special education referral process.
Ensure timely processing of all parent intake forms and student enrollment into the district's electronic student registration system.
Maintain required accountability documentation to document support activities.
Maintain a filing system to process routine correspondence
Maintain professional competency by keeping abreast of current trends in evaluation, ethics, technology, and special education laws.
Engage in professional behaviors that reflect integrity, accountability, and moral standards.
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Accredited High School Diploma required and advanced clerical training or an Associate’s Degree.
Experience in the parent-school-community relations field is preferred.
Familiarity with specialized data management systems for maintaining confidential records.
Task oriented self-starter with the ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy.
Problem solving/investigative skills to research and respond to inquiries.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of district personnel and vendors.
Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
Ability to meet established deadlines.
Demonstrated organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills required to
