Position Overview: The Help Desk Technician provides technical support and assistance to employees for computer systems and software. This role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services within the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists employees with installation, configuration, and usability of computer systems.
  • Responds to the needs and questions of employees; troubleshoots, diagnoses, and fixes hardware and/or software problems.
  • Performs basic maintenance on systems and hardware, including installing updates, rebuilding systems, adding/removing software, etc.
  • Performs basic network troubleshooting to resolve user-reported issues.
  • Follows change management procedures when making changes to user entitlements.
  • Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, Active Directory, and Security.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (AA) or higher
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Basic computer administration skills required
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Possess strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to proactively identify potential concerns and follow-up to resolve such issues
  • Ability to communicate information to technical and non-technical audiences.
