Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
Assist with the recruitment process.
Facilitate onboarding.
Coordinate New Hire first day of employment which includes issuing New Hire Packet, and perform drug screen.
Request email set-up for new employees
HRIS file maintenance.
Enroll new employees into timekeeping system, explain the functions of the device and expectations of accurate record keeping.
Prepare and process garnishments and EDD UI Claims
Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, employment issues.
Process Workers Compensation claims
Conduct intake only meetings with employees regarding complaints or grievances
Schedule meetings, HR events and maintain agendas.
Coordinate HR training sessions and seminars.
Assist with payroll and adhoc HR projects.
Support other assigned functions.
Assist with performance management procedures.
Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
Skills/Qualifications
Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. Kronos)
Ability to work with ATS software
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle data with confidentiality
Good organizational and time management skills
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers/scanners.
