Job Overview 
The Senior Manager of Commercial Field Training will support the execution of training programs for the Commercial Field Team at Sequel Med Tech to successfully launch the company’s product(s). This role will work collaboratively with Field Sales Leadership and cross-functional teams, including Clinical Product and Marketing, to assess training needs and help develop engaging, effective training content and experiences. The Senior Manager will focus on equipping the field team with the tools, knowledge, and skills they need to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced diabetes care environment. 
The ideal candidate will have experience in diabetic therapeutic areas, a solid understanding of sales and clinical training techniques, and a passion for empowering field teams to excel. 

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties 

  • Assist in building and maintaining onboarding and continuous learning programs for the Commercial Field Team, ensuring readiness and confidence during product launch and beyond. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the creation of training content related to sales techniques, objection handling, product messaging, and competitive positioning. 
  • Deliver training sessions (both in-person and virtual) using a variety of learning methods to support different learning styles and experience levels. 
  • Partner internally to create innovative and comprehensive training modules that foster a deep understanding of product knowledge and diabetes management for the Commercial Field Team. 
  • Utilize various learning modalities to facilitate learning sessions for newly hired and tenured Commercial Field Team personnel and define key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through metrics such as sales performance, product knowledge assessments and feedback from Commercial leadership.    
  • Conduct field visits to observe and evaluate the performance of the Commercial Field Team personnel and provide constructive feedback to reinforce learning and development. 
  • Collect and analyze feedback from field personnel and leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of training materials and methods. 
  • Establish ongoing and targeted learning initiatives to reinforce learning and development opportunities and promote career advancement for the Commercial Field Team. 
  • Stay current on Sequel Med Tech product(s), competitive landscape, and industry best practices to ensure training materials remain relevant and impactful. 
  • Ensure training programs comply with applicable regulations and internal compliance policies. 
  • Other duties as required. 

Minimum Requirements 

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Life Sciences, Business) is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 7+ years of experience in training, sales, marketing or a combination thereof within the medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare industries. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
  • Strong knowledge of commercial diabetes products, including but not limited to insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring is preferred. 
  • Innovative, creative, and detail oriented with strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication (oral and written), presentation, facilitation, and administrative management skills. 
  • Ability to organize and lead meetings with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate issues and ideas with peers and with leadership. 
  • Willingness to travel for field training and sales meetings. Up to 50% nationwide travel required. 
  • Must hold a valid US Driver’s license. 
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with a passion for improving patient outcomes in diabetes care. 
  • Must be willing and able to work diligently in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment with changing timelines and priorities.
