Overview

Katzman Produce, a leader in the wholesale produce industry, is offering a full-time paid summer internship for three highly motivated Human Resources Interns. This opportunity is ideal for high school seniors or college students interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources or Business Administration. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced HR department, including recruitment, compliance, employee relations, and event planning.

What You’ll Do

As a Human Resources Intern, you will support the HR team and learn how the department contributes to overall business success. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with recruiting, onboarding, and new hire paperwork
Supporting employee engagement events and internal programs
Helping to implement HR policies and compliance procedures
Creating internal communications such as announcements, flyers, and newsletters
Performing general administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry
Answering phones and assisting with employee inquiries
Supporting the employee Recognition Program
Creating and updating reports using Excel and BI
Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
Handling other administrative or HR-related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

A high school junior/senior or college student with a strong interest in Human Resources
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for data entry and basic reporting (knowledge of formulas and charts is a plus)
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Must be available full-time, Monday–Friday, from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Spanish speaking is a plus
Must be authorized to work in the United States
If under 18, valid working papers must be provided
