About The Role
We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team and take ownership of our financial operations. This role combines traditional bookkeeping responsibilities with accounts payable/receivable management, payment processing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Quickbooks
- Perform daily data entry and transaction recording
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements monthly
- Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and corrections
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Payments & Cash Management
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Handle payment processing across multiple platforms and methods
- Monitor cash flow and assist with cash flow forecasting
- Coordinate with banks for wire transfers, ACH payments, and other transactions
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Generate monthly financial statements and reports
- Prepare sales tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Support annual audit and tax preparation processes
- Create custom reports for management review
- Track and analyze key financial metrics and KPIs
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents
- Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking
- Support payroll processing and benefits administration
- Handle correspondence with vendors, customers, and financial institutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial operations
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- QuickBooks ProAdvisor or similar certification
- Experience with ERP systems and financial integrations
- Familiarity with payment processors
- Knowledge of multi-entity or multi-location accounting
- Previous experience in the financial industry preferred

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
