Junior QUALITY ANALYST

The Role @ OAO India

OAO India is looking for a talented Quality Analyst to join, an experienced and passionate team in delivering an exciting title. Focusing solely on crafting dynamic, innovative and exciting features. This is an opportunity for those who want to leave their mark in the gaming Industry.

Responsibilities:

 Create, maintain and execute test cases and test plans and provide clear and concise reports.

 Test the features that are being developed and Provide constructive feedback on systems, features and the overall quality of our games.

 Ensure that the Sprint, Milestone and Project Deliverables are achieved on time through active participation in testing tasks and processes.

 Perform regular Smoke Tests and Build Tests and convey the build and game status accurately.

 Assist in executing the QA test plans by performing thorough testing on assigned titles. This can include art, sound, text, functionality, compliance, performance, documentation, etc. and other types of testing.

 Co-ordinate and communicate with the different production

and development teams involved in the project.

 Clearly document issues and ensure they can be reproduced effectively. Track and maintain the bug database and regularly highlight important issues to the production teams.

 Identify any potential project risks in advance and convey the same to the production teams.

 Provide support to the Production and Development teams according to their specific requests.

 Additionally, work on improving the operational efficiency of the QA team by assessing the current quality assurance practices and incorporating new QA strategies.

 Ensure testing processes are followed daily while also assisting and mentoring other members of the quality assurance team.

Qualifications:

 2+ years experience in game or software quality assurance

 An excellent understanding of database and bug-tracking software (JIRA, etc.)

 Experience and familiarity with multiple gaming platforms and genres.

 Knowledge of QA methodologies and tools, Game development cycle and different milestones involved.

 Knowledge and experience working with different Game Engines like Unreal, Unity, etc.

 Basic technical proficiency and knowledge of Coding and Scripting is preferred.

 Experience creating re-usable test cases and test suites.

 The ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks and take ownership of assigned areas.

 A passion for video games and interactive story-telling.

 An innate desire to understand how things work and a willingness to learn.
