Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Clearance Required: Public Trust – Federal Client requires US Citizenship
Work Location: Remote, Arlington, VA

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Technical Project Manager for a remote position on our Federal programs in Arlington, Virginia.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead our agile software development project. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, testers, and other stakeholders, to deliver high-quality software solutions on time.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Project Planning: Define project goals within scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and required deliverables.
  • Agile Leadership: Facilitate agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews. Foster an agile mindset within the team and promote continuous improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Address any issues or roadblocks that may arise.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and issues. Gather feedback and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with user requirements. Collaborate with the QA team to implement testing strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and user manuals.

Required Qualifications:

Education:            

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience/Skills:

  • Federal Client requires US Citizenship.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager in an agile software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and project management tools (e.g., GitHub, ServiceNow).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Technical background in software development is preferred but not required.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner) are a plus.

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $92,666 - $180,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
