AHRC NYC is looking to hire Full-Time Employment Skills Coordinator/Direct Support Professionals (ESC/DSP) for their Day Program in Brooklyn.
The ESC/DSP plays a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities by providing comprehensive training, evaluations, and counseling. This position focuses on facilitating skill development and enhancing job readiness for participants in both job sites and community settings. The expected outcomes for the ESC/DSP include enhancing participant employability through skill acquisition and effective work behaviors, as well as supporting successful job placements and long-term career growth.
Salary: $35,000 per year or $37,000 per year if position requires driving and AHRC Defensive Driving Course is completed.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
PLEASE NOTE: This role will be performed out in the Community for the majority of the day.
Essential Responsibilities
Establish individualized assessment and development plans focused on work skills and social behaviors for program participants.
Travel to job sites and community locations to train, supervise, and evaluate participants in the skills training process.
Maintain accurate and timely records for participants, ensuring compliance with funders’ and agency reporting requirements.
Develop and nurture relationships with participants' families or guardians as appropriate.
Report any employer-related issues to a program supervisor to maintain positive employer and community relationships.
