Your Role

The Strategic Planning & Performance team develops long-term strategies, annual plans, and performance reporting for Middle Markets and Small Business lines of business. The Business Analyst, Senior – Middle Markets and Small Business will report to the Product Manager, Strategic Planning & Performance Manager. In this role you will be managing sales data and developing comprehensive reports to provide actionable insights that will enhance sales performance and drive growth.

Responsibilities

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Provide complex analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations
  • Develop annual operating plans, capital budgets and forecasts, and build business cases for new business initiatives (cost/benefit analysis)
  • Develop, prepare, and analyze reports with complex analysis and data for management review, and present to various levels of management
  • Define business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiency
  • Provide analytical support for multiple, complex cross-functional projects simultaneously; establish work plans and timelines
  • Partner with key enterprise partners to formulate data-driven business opportunities that support operational initiatives
  • Be passionate about anticipating unrealized problems or dependencies and recommend solutions that solve business problems and keeping user perspective in focus
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in operation performance and notify management of issues and problems that require immediate attention
  • Support users in adoption of sales tools and processes in group or individual settings

Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in querying and managing data in Excel required
  • Experience in health plan required
  • Experience in CRM or Salesforce preferred
  • Experience in applying business rules to data and processes preferred
  • Experience in VBA programming to enable MS Access user processes preferred

  • Hybrid (Default): Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above).Exceptions:

  • Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.

  • On-Site: Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
