Your Role
The Experience Analytics team is responsible for delivering analytics across key member-experience programs such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), Digital Satisfaction, Mock Medicare CMS, CAHPS, and STAR Ratings for Blue Shield of California and partner health plans. In this role, you will translate stakeholder business problems into end-to-end analytic solutions—gathering requirements, wireframing models or dashboards (e.g., multi-dimensional CAHPS, voice-of-customer, STARS), and building statistical and ML models that leverage both structured and unstructured data. You’ll lead complex analytics products—including segmentation, regression-based conjoint analysis, and LLM topic modeling—to uncover performance drivers, identify trends, and forecast outcomes.
Responsibilities
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Understand stakeholder business problems, develop requirements for an analytic solution, wireframe the solution which may be a model, analysis or self serve dashboard such as multi dimensional interactive CAHPS, voice of customers or STARS dashboards which would incorporate structured and unstructured data
- Help lead the development of complex analytics products with minimal guidance, to support Experience related work, such as Net Promoter Score , Medicare STARS , Mock CAHPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers ) for Blue Shield of California and other Health Plans
- Perform advanced statistical and machine learning analyses such as segmentation, LLM topic modeling using regression, conjoint analysis to inform performance opportunities
- Partner with the Data & Analytics Centralized Data Services team to ensure internal and external structured and unstructured data is complete, accurate, and timely analytical use.
- Partner with key business partners in BSC and other Health Plans to communicate actionable insights from Experience Analytics including performance drivers, changes in trend, forecasted performance, etc.
- Bring passion for solving complex healthcare challenges that improve member experience
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, data analytics, health informatics, statistics, engineering or related quantitative fields. Master’s degree preferred.
- Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience working with unstructured data (e.g., survey responses, call data) or similar datasets is highly preferred
- Intermediate level experience using Python and SQL to interact with data, and experience using databricks platform is required.
- Expertise in advanced analytics and machine learning, including building models and conducting analyses to uncover trends, generate actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making, especially with unstructured data.
- Hands-on experience using/fine-tuning LLM models is required.
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts, including hypothesis testing, margin of error, and confidence intervals
- Health Plan experience is a plus.
- Advanced hands on knowledge of Tableau for creating actionable mutli-dimensional self serve dashboards

Two Ways of Working:
- Hybrid (Default): Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above).Exceptions:
- Member-facing and approved out-of-state roles remain remote.
- Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.

- On-Site: Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.
