What you’ll be doing

This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their communication skills, technical knowledge, and understanding of building services while working closely with experienced professionals. You will support our HVAC Sales Managers by handling customer inquiries, providing sales assistance, and ensuring a smooth customer experience. The main goal of this role is to learn and understand HVAC and building services with the aim of being able to support our Regional Sales Manager's and customers with selecting products and services and support with design and quotes. This is an office-based role in Telford, Shropshire.

• Be the first point of contact for incoming customer queries, providing helpful information about Carrier’s HVAC solutions.

• Gain an understanding buildings and how they work

• Handling customer and sales inquiries via email and phone

• Assist the sales managers by managing leads, qualifying potential customers, and arranging follow-ups.

• Helping to select and quote HVAC equipment based on customer needs

• Analysing competitor quotes to create competitive offers

• Develop knowledge of HVAC systems and building services to offer basic technical guidance, escalating complex queries when necessary.

• Following projects from start to finish, providing design and technical support along the way

• Answering basic technical queries to assist RSMs and customers

• Looking for ways to improve processes and reduce costs

• Working closely with RSMs and customers to provide pricing and availability information

What we’re looking for:

• Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Science, English, Maths, and ICT OR Engineering

• Full UK driving licence

• No prior experience required—just a passion for learning and delivering excellent customer service!

• Good written English

• An interest in M&E, engineering, building services and the HVAC industry    

• Good problem solver

• Computer literate and know the basics on Microsoft Office

• Confident and articulate
