Your day at NTT DATA

With responsibility for revenues of approximately $1B, the North America Technology Sales Growth Leader will be responsible for the strategic sales strategy of the organization delivering on both the top and bottom-line objectives. This role reports to the SVP Technology Solutions Business Leader and will oversee an organization of sales leadership, client managers, software & technology sales specialists, and partner/alliance managers. Building a high-performing and growth-oriented sales organization, establishing a strong operating model that drives rigor, accountability and attainment as well as partnering with an ecosystem of alliance partners to drive credibility will all be key areas of focus for this position.

What you'll be doing

Specific responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue generation strategy to achieve the sales and profitability targets for the Technology business
  • Attract, engage, develop and retain a high performing sales team focused on growth
  • Coach leaders and ensure alignment while achieving the assigned financial/business targets for all revenue streams for the Technology business
  • Instill an environment where the sales team sells in a holistic, solution selling approach to solve customers’ business problems and/or issues with NTT’s offerings across its portfolio of solutions and services
  • Work within the broader NTT framework and develop an understanding for how to work successfully in a large and matrix organization, where building strong internal relationships is key, and a highly proactive approach is required
  • Help drive the necessary transformation within the Technology sales organization (go-to-market, cultural, performance, etc.) to position NTT as a thought leader with clients and partners  
  • As one of the key interfaces with customers and OEM partners, ensure internal alignment to aggressively drive new business development, execute sales and marketing plans, and galvanize all market-facing efforts to drive extraordinary top-line growth and profitability
  • Aligning the organization around the sales strategy, and relentless driving execution cross-functionally, coupled with a positive, result oriented work ethic
  • Partner with HR to ensure appropriate people and talent management programs are in place, including staffing/workforce planning, onboarding, enablement, training, performance management, development, and succession planning

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

The incoming leader will be a proven sales leader with a background leading relevant technology & services businesses to the achievement of top and bottom-line targets. Known as a top talent developer and bringing a track record of successful business results from a respected infrastructure/technology organization, she/he will be accustomed to setting a strategy, aligning the team, and relentlessly driving execution. This individual has likely led a several hundred-million-dollar business with a similar portfolio of products and services.

  • Strong financial and business savvy, analytical skills and highly metrics driven
  • Strong understanding of the modern IT infrastructure and services portfolio, including enterprise network technology, data center and cloud, edge computing, and security and IoT products and services
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, including the ability to effectively articulate ideas and concepts to executives, technical, and non-technical audiences.
