This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Night Shift Schedule: Monday to Thursday - 8:45am to 5pm New York Time (8:45pm - 5am Manila Time)
  • Friday - 8:45am to 3:45pm New York Time (8:45pm - 3:45am Manila Time)

Description:

To assist the Implementation Team with registering for carrier portals, working on getting E-Claims, ERA and EFT enrollments approved for the clients. Will need to submit enrollments promptly, follow up with the carriers/clearinghouses on the enrollments submitted (once the turn around time has been reached) to ensure completion/activation, and solve upcoming errors in regards.  In addition to enrollments, work on group related items as Fee Schedule set-ups, demographic updates, etc. upon request.

Responsibilities:

  • Submitting E-claims, ERA and Portal enrollment(s) upon notification of any new carrier.
  • Follow up with the Clearinghouse once the TAT has been reached to ensure completion/activation.
  • Report to team member about any denial/cause enrollment has not been completed yet.
  • Prepare EFT forms to be sent by implementation representative.
  • Be on top to get back any forms from client that signature was requested.
  • Work with the carriers to update any demographics.
  • Add/Update fee schedules upon any contract completion.
  • Troubleshoot any portal issues.
  • Report any recurring issue to team.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements


  • At least 2 years in college
  • Two years experience in US-based medical billing practice or
  • Two years experience in a medical practice dealing with billing including but not limited to, provider credentialing, authorizations, reimbursement, etc. preferably in Behavioral Health to some degree
