Opportunity Overview

The Sales Engineer will engage customers and prospective customers on the innovative and award winning SafeSend Returns (SSR) product line. The ideal candidate enjoys giving presentations, demos, and webinars – both virtual and in-person – on software and technology features, capabilities, and benefits, and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Having a passion for helping people and for being a change catalyst who takes pride in shifting the mindset of technology laggards to being more progressive and tech-savvy is a must.

About the role

  • Following onboarding and training, become an expert with our market leading SafeSend Suite offering.

  • Provide customers, prospects, and sales reps with SSR technical product advice and demonstrations via on-site or virtual demonstrations, or at meetings, sales seminars, webinars, trade shows, or conferences.

  • Partner with our SSR Sales reps and provide pre and post-sales support to advance a sales cycle, secure a new sale, or preserve a sale.

  • Assist with Client Success efforts to drive higher usage and adoption of SSR in firms currently using the solution.

  • Handle SSR technical questions and more in-depth workflow analysis and product fit questions from prospects and customers.

  • Understand how SSR is used in tax practices to the degree in which you can assess the applicability of SSR to prospects, and how firms will benefit and realize ROI after implementation.

  • Provide internal training on SSR to various groups including Sales, Client Success, and Support.

  • Keep abreast of industry and technology trends and monitor and evaluate rival offerings and the overall competitive landscape.

  • Be a resource for Product Development and others regarding SSR new feature prioritization, overall product roadmap, and general customer sentiment.

  • Assist in creating SSR customer and prospective customer-facing content including training materials, product support content, and sales and marketing collateral.

About You

  • Experienced presenter with effective listening, written, and oral communication skills.

  • A people person who enjoys engaging others, problem-solving, and being a trusted resource.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence others over the phone, in virtual meetings, and in person.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.

  • Being organized and having strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Knowledge of the Public Accounting space and professional tax preparation preferred.

  • Experience with cloud-based technology preferred.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations.

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $77,000 - $143,000.

This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
