The Quality Assurance Analyst assesses and evaluates software products through comprehensive testing processes. Their role involves collaborating with development teams, project managers, and quality assurance engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.    

Essential Functions:

  • Develop testing scenarios and expected results relative to specific software. specifications and development.
  • Perform regression, unit, and system software testing per test plans.
  • Communicate issues and verify issue resolution.
  • Develop and communicate workarounds to known system problems.
  • Generate structured status charts throughout the testing phases at the direction of a testing coordinator.
  • Rapidly respond to retest code fixes delivered by software vendors and programming staff.
  • Assist in assembling test team members from functional areas as needed for user acceptance testing.
  • Create application documentation to assist in the support and training of users.
  • Maintain historical record of test data to be accessed as necessary.

Education Required: 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or relevant field preferred.  

Experience Required:    

  • 2+ years of experience performing role of QA analyst.
  • Extensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored jobs, and error replication
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to create test plans and cases from specifications or verbal communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
