The Software Intern will work closely with the software engineers to design and implement well-defined full-scope assignments, such as environmental data processing and analysis, web application feature development (full stack), embedded software testing and debugging, production software tooling, and software development workflow automation. Exact tasks assigned will depend on skill level, aptitude, and interest; the tasks will be focused on learning and growth, not just on rote menial task execution.

Touch each part of the full software product lifecycle, from understanding customer requirements through customer delivery
Minimum Qualifications:
Current rising senior (grad dates between Dec 2025 - June 2026), graduating senior (May 2025 grad) continuing to grad school, or current grad student. Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship to qualify.
Demonstrated experience with either Python, MATLAB, C++, Java, or C#
Solid understanding of software development principles including OO concepts, data structures, queues and buffers, and interfaces.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
Classroom project experience with code available on GitHub or another public platform
A natural attention to detail and appreciation for organizing and documenting.
Knowledge of how to leverage agentic tools to enhance both learning and software task execution
Demonstrated ability to own work: understanding, designing, and then developing, rather than simply executing assigned small tasks.
