Salesforce Engineer

Position Summary:

The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support public sector clients. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, Apex programming, and Lightning components, with a focus on delivering scalable and secure applications that meet government standards and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using APIs and middleware tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Conduct unit testing, peer code reviews, and support system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and accessibility standards (e.g., FedRAMP, Section 508).
• Maintain documentation for code, configurations, and system processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Salesforce development.
• Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.
• Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Developer II preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) or Government Cloud.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Copado.
• Understanding of data security and compliance in the public sector.
