Job description

About teambuilding.com

We’re a 100% remote company that specializes in hosting surprisingly fun in-person and virtual team building events. Our mission is to build happier teams!

We’ve got a great head start:

● Clients at nearly every Fortune 500 company.
● 45,000+ event bookings since 2020 (with a healthy repeat rate).
● 1,000,000+ event participants.
● 70,000+ five star reviews.
● 1,000,000+ monthly visitors to our site.
● A large and engaged email list.

We’re looking for a data-driven, strategic, and ambitious Sales Director to oversee the next phase of growth at teambuiding.com. As a member of our senior leadership team, you’ll be responsible for shaping and executing sales strategies across multiple business verticals, including direct-to-customer events, our third-party vendor marketplace, and new franchise sales.

You’ll manage a high-performing sales team, work closely with executive leadership, and use your deep understanding of B2B and enterprise sales to drive sustainable, scalable growth. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone ready to build systems, lead transformational change, and help steer teambuilding.com into the next ten years of major milestones.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth
    • Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll collaborate with the CEO, COO, and Managing Director to define and execute annual sales goals, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
    • Drive revenue across our three primary verticals:
      • teambuilding.com Originals (one-off corporate events created and executed in-house. You’ll drive repeat business, upsells, and expansion into long-term contracts).
      • Vendor Marketplace (converting free B2B event listings into paid accounts)
      • Franchise Expansion (sales support and strategy development)
    • Develop and refine outbound sales programs from the ground up, including prospecting, playbooks, automations, and performance tracking.
    • Identify opportunities for recurring revenue and long-term client relationships.
  • Team Management & Sales Operations
    • Lead, coach, and inspire our team of Client Advisors, ensuring they exceed revenue and performance goals.
    • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, team performance, and team development initiatives.
    • Troubleshoot sales roadblocks, run commission reports, and collaborate with the Managing Director on optimizing pricing strategies.
    • Own performance tracking and forecasting through our CRM (Close), including building SmartViews, pipeline dashboards, and sales reporting.
    • Ensure data accuracy and visibility across all sales activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Marketing on lead generation campaigns, outbound content, and messaging that converts.
    • Align with Creative and Operations on new product launches, event pricing, and experience positioning.
    • Champion a client-first sales culture that balances connection, curiosity, and consultative strategy.

You’ll Thrive Here If You:

  • Are a visionary sales leader with experience owning $10M+ in annual revenue.
  • Have built and led high-performing teams of 5+ reps in a fast-paced B2B or enterprise sales environment.
  • Know how to balance strategy with execution - you can get your hands dirty when needed, but never lose sight of the big picture.
  • Love using data, systems, and automation (AI included!) to scale what works and cut what doesn’t.
  • Are confident with technology - we use Close, Proposify, Google Suit, Slack, Zapier, and other web-based tools.
  • Can sell across multiple verticals and quickly develop tailored strategies for a variety of audiences.
  • Communicate clearly, lead with Level 10 integrity, and motivate with authenticity.
  • Bonus Points if you:
    • have experience selling franchise opportunities or third-party marketplace listings
    • bring creativity, adaptability, and a sharp sense of humor to your leadership style.

Compensation:

  • $100,000 base salary plus up to 100% performance-based bonus based on company milestones.
