Key responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Philips PACS system for international customers.
  • Document all technical and non-technical details in the company CRM for record-keeping.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot hardware and operating system issues effectively and quickly.
  • Provide prompt and courteous support to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Job Description – PACS Remote Service Engineer

Overview

This Job Description describes the desired roles and responsibilities of “ISPACS Remote Service Engineer” position at SCS Operations team

Key Responsibilities / Key Result Areas
  • Work with US Based and international customers (Radiologist/Technicians and doctors) to troubleshoot and resolve break fix issues related to Philips PACS system
  • Analyze high priority issues like application down/degraded and quickly work with specialty and RnD teams to recover the systems to ensure minimal downtimes.
  • Responsible for documenting all technical and non-technical details in company CRM that provides as a record of actions taken to resolve issues
  • Analyzing & troubleshooting various hardware components (compute/storage/Network) issues quickly and effectively that can be administered remotely
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting Operating Systems issues quickly and effectively
  • Become key partner with our SCS team for continually competency enhancements
  • Ensure to be continuously aware of the latest technical & organizational developments and their relevance to the business
  • Ensure all customers receive prompt and courteous support enabling the highest possible customer satisfaction
  • Good understanding on Information technology components
  • Willingness to work in shifts and 24/7 model in Voice support.

Education, Experience & Key Skills

Education:

Must have – Any Degree

Preferred - B.E / B. Tech

Industry Certifications: MCSA / MCSE / MS SQL / any relevant certification

Experience

Years of Experience: 5-7 Years

Area of Experience: Healthcare Product(s) support (PACS / DICOM / HL7 /EMR - Field support Engineers)

Domain & Technical Skill set

PACS, HL7 Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge on PACS (Picture Archival Communication System) in Hospital environment
  • Good knowledge on HL7
  • MySQL Database administration, Trouble shooting Database problems
  • Handling HIS-PACS-VNA Integration
  • PACS / DICOM / HL7 /EMR - knowledge

Operating Systems, tools & Applications

  • Good knowledge on below OS – Troubleshooting
    • Client/Server OS Troubleshooting experience
    • File system (NTFS), Microsoft Message Queuing
    • Good knowledge on PACS systems or PACS administrator.
    • Good knowledge on industry standard virtualization technology (VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V etc.)
    • User of remote tools - RDP/Terminal Services and VNC etc.
    • Experience with imaging software
  • Good knowledge on MS SQL – Configuration & troubleshooting

Compute Server / storage / network

Compute & Storage

  • Good knowledge on compute hardware – Installation, configuration and maintenance methodologies
  • Fair knowledge on various compute hardware IBM / DELL / HP etc.
  • Knowledge on Server administration – RAM /HDD / Firmware upgrade etc.
  • Good understanding of storage concepts – SAN, NAS, DAS

Networking

  • Good understanding of LAN & WAN
  • TCP/IP
  • Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP service

Overall Good analytical & troubleshooting skills on above technologies
