As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction in an online format, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline. Courses to be taught:

  • EDU-410 – Preventing and Addressing Bullying
    "This course will assist educators in identifying and recognizing strategies to proactively guide and prevent the harmful effects of bullying, including cyber bullying, verbal harassment, and physical harassment. The course is intended to increase awareness of these issues and their effects both inside and outside the classroom."

  • EDU-415 – Social and Emotional Learning in Education
    "This course will help teacher candidates identify and recognize strategies for developing social-emotional skills such as self-awareness, self-control, concern for others, and cooperation. The course emphasizes the impact of social-emotional learning on academic performance and student success."

As an online adjunct faculty member, your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating weekly main discussion forums to engage students in the online classroom.

  • Adhering to weekly grading requirements, deadlines, and timeframes.

  • Responding to students’ questions and emails within established timeframes.

  • Providing a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

  • Equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years or more K-12 classroom teaching experience.

  • Strong commitment to providing high-quality instruction in a collaborative, online environment.
