Leadership & Oversight
Train and mentor sales team in effectively closing sales opportunities using the company’s proprietary suite of products and services. Developing skills in:
Prospecting potential clients through cold calling, networking, and professional affiliations
Effective appointment setting and scheduling meetings with prospects
Conducting professional and structured sales meetings
Properly qualifying accounts prior to submission to the marketing team
Preparing and reviewing submissions to ensure completeness and accuracy
Acting as a liaison between clients and the marketing team during the underwriting process to obtain necessary information
Reviewing and confirming the accuracy and adequacy of quotes
Presenting proposals to prospects, explaining coverage options and premiums
Negotiate payment options, including premium financing, installments, direct bill, or agency bill
Successfully bind accounts, including obtaining Broker of Record (BOR) letters or renewal binder
Attending closing meetings to support the finalization of sales
Participating in turnover meetings with the Marketing and Client Services teams within one week of closing a sale
Sales Performance & Strategy
Monitor ongoing sales activities and new business development efforts of producers
Ensure adequate cross-selling activities to maximize opportunities
Act as a liaison between the Sales and Client Services teams to ensure seamless client onboarding
Communicate department needs and progress to the Chief Business Officer
Ensure prospecting and new business goals are met consistently
Recruiting & Development
Recruit and onboard new producers, focusing on both experienced hires and emerging talent
Oversee onboarding and transition processes to ensure seamless integration into the team
Performance Metrics
Success in this role is measured using a balanced scorecard approach, incorporating financial results, sales operations, colleague capability, and client satisfaction, with emphasis on financial outcomes.
Supervisory Duties
This job has a high level of supervisory responsibilities. Supervision includes but is not limited to:

Proven leadership experience in insurance sales

Education And Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree with 10 years sales experience with expertise within the insurance industry
Property & Casualty, Life & Health insurance licenses
5+ years of sales leadership in the insurance industry
Proficient in Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel and Office365, Epic or similar management system. Must be proficient in Salesforce
Prior experience and proven track record for driving sales results and building sales teams
