Who are we looking for?

Our Central US Water business is growing throughout Texas! We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead We are seeking a self-motivated, driven, and hard-working professional that is motivated to support project teams in performing projects such as water and wastewater treatment, wastewater collection systems, water conveyance and distribution systems, studies, design and construction inspection and management services throughout the state.

You will also work with a team to support client development and strategic growth of the business both locally and regionally. The purpose of the client facing role is to build credible relationships with clients, teaming partners, and the community. This position will require a strong ability to manage and progress multiple fronts that require long-term development and commitment.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Lead proposal development efforts for new business
  • Grow relationships with existing and prospective clients; this includes business development, sales and marketing
  • Lead or assist in the development of facility and or utility master plans
  • Perform and/or check design calculations
  • Participate in on-site testing, startup or troubleshooting of water or wastewater facilities or infrastructure
  • Conducts work to appropriate professional standards and to the firm’s QA/QC requirements. Participates in QA/QC programs for other projects as requested by managers.
  • Perform schedule reviews on construction projects and maintain/develop schedules for design and construction of assigned projects
  • Provide mentoring to engineering staff to support the team's technical skill development
  • Manage projects’ budget and schedule

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in Texas or ability to acquire upon six months of hiring date
  • Between 10-25 years of water/wastewater design experience in municipal water, wastewater, water resource, and/or conveyance projects in the Central US region; preference to 10 years of experience in the Texas market
  • Significant experience in de-salination plants, water and wastewater treatment, conveyance and pump station
  • Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail, schedule and budget
  • Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner; must have strong technical writing skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory/permitting agencies including TCEQ, and EPA
