Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the role includes responsibilities in the corporate accounting function, internal and external reporting, and assist in the administration of insurance. This position will also have a dotted line reporting to Treasury and insurance manager on insurance topics.
The position will act in accordance with the Group’s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, and HSE standards.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities:
Preparation of the fixed distribution budget
Running allocation cycles during month end close
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Providing invoice coding
Resolving differences between purchase orders and invoices
Preparing journal entries and recurring entries in SAP
Intercompany reconciliation
Assist in the administration and preparation of insurance dockets, binders and applications
Preparation of various audit schedules
Assist in preparation of tax schedules
Assist in other projects as needed
Perform other job tasks as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting
Background And Experience :
Minimum of 8 to 10 years relevant experience in Finance / Accounting
Minimum a Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
General ledger accounting experience
Worked in SAP /ERP environment
Competencies And Skills:
Effective communication skills
Thorough SAP / ERP knowledge
Detail oriented and good analytical skills
MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
Team work, positive and improvement attitude
Desirable Skills:
Manufacturing industry experience and also within the chemical industry
Prior experience in public accounting
