Job description

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Campus Communications Coordinator (CCC) serves the Marketing Department by supporting the school through the implementation of marketing, advertising, communications, and media strategy for one of our three campuses. The CCC implements marketing and communications measures to retain current families, engage new applicants, and extend a brand recognition that reflects the excellence of CDA. This person will offer clear and concise communications for marketing platforms including stories, photos, video, news for website, social media, publications, and newsletters. This person will serve on campus three days a week with remaining work hours at various school events on evenings and weekends, as needed.

Essential Job Functions

  • Implement marketing, advertising, communications, and media strategies to support CDA
  • Plan, gather content, and manage the campus weekly email
  • Create campus content for Coram Deo Academy’s social media, online profiles, and marketing campaigns
  • Plan, write, and manage the approval process for fundraising communications related to key campaigns (such as a capital campaign). This includes emails, brochures, letters, website content, social media content, and more.
  • Support internal and external marketing and communications needs of the District Office, the Office of Development, Office of the President, and Campus Administration
  • Plan and manage email and social media campaigns related to enrollment, campus events, fundraising, sponsor recognition, and more
  • Ensure consistent use of brand assets on campus, including athletics, fine arts, and academics
  • Create and maintain a collection of approved photography and videography for marketing use
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

In addition to the following, applicants must agree with CDA’s mission, vision, core values, and goals.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Social Media Management, Public Relations, or other related field

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Marketing, Advertising, Social Media Management, Public Relations, or another related field

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Experience with basic graphics and photography editing
  • Experience in social media platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and general office technology
  • Ideally has some experience with or can quickly learn elements of Blackbaud Push Pages, Constant Contact, Canva, and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to speak publicly
  • Ability to work in both team and individual settings
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

  • Works in an environment dealing with a variety of challenges, deadlines, and an array of contacts.
  • May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Be able to occasionally lift 30 lbs.
  • Work primarily in a traditional climate-controlled office environment but also at outside events at times
  • Required to work on campus three days a week with remaining hours at home or at school event, possibly during evenings and weekends.
  • Follow the school year schedule similar to faculty, enjoying all school breaks with a few exceptions for special events or meetings, as needed.
