Compensation: $95,000–$115,000 (depending on experience)
Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to support and enhance their enterprise infrastructure. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining network reliability, performance, and security across multiple locations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional IT teams, troubleshoot network issues, and lead optimization efforts as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities For The Network Engineer
Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems
Monitor network performance and proactively troubleshoot connectivity issues
Manage VPNs, VLANs, and IP schema across enterprise systems
Maintain and upgrade hardware, firmware, and network security protocols
Configure and manage firewall rules, access control lists, and threat prevention measures
Collaborate with system administrators and security teams to ensure infrastructure alignment
Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and disaster recovery plans
Assist with the planning and execution of network expansions, migrations, and upgrades
Evaluate and recommend new network tools and technologies to improve efficiency
Ensure network compliance with company security policies and regulatory requirements
Preferred Skills & Qualifications For The Network Engineer
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, or similar technologies
Proficiency in configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark
Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices
Pluses for the Network Engineer
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Knowledge of SD-WAN and network segmentation
Exposure to VoIP systems and unified communications infrastructure
Experience working in compliance-driven environments (HIPAA, PCI, SOC 2)
Education And Experience Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
2–5 years of hands-on experience in a network engineering or network support role
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or Fortinet NSE are a plus
