Job Title: Talent Sourcing Specialist

Department: Recruiting

Location: APSI Headquarters | 8885 Research Dr, Irvine, CA 92618

Reports to: Talent Acquisition Manager

FLSA: Exempt

Salary Range: $66,560 - $70,000

Position Overview/Job Summary

As a key member of a collaborative Talent Acquisition team, the Talent Sourcing Specialist drives top-of-funnel recruiting efforts by identifying, engaging, and nurturing high-quality candidates, often for hard-to-fill roles. Acting as a brand ambassador and first point of contact requires managing multiple sourcing initiatives, leveraging various channels, and ensuring a smooth, high-touch candidate experience. The specialist will also support early-stage recruitment processes, collaborate with hiring managers to refine search strategies, and maintain an organized, compliant, and efficient recruitment operation. This is a temporary, 5-month position with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role based on the evolving needs of the company.

Core Expectations: Required to come into the office 5 days a week for the first 30 days after that period, twice a week with a hybrid work schedule, presenting an active presence. Days can change depending on the company's needs.

This Individual Must

  • Possess a solid understanding of the online recruiting landscape and social media, and be skilled with online tools such as:
    • LinkedIn Recruiter
    • Indeed/Glassdoor
    • And other recruiting tools
  • Be well-versed in utilizing the ATS or the ATS Module within an HRIS (we use ADP & ClearcCO)
  • Be proactive, love good recordkeeping, and enjoy streamlining processes
  • Practice discretion
Understanding professional service firms, specifically construction management, is a huge plus. Still, if you are gifted at sourcing talent, we know you’ll quickly learn what we seek.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, maintenance, and management of all job requisitions and postings
  • Manage the sourcing and candidate lifecycle in out ATS system
  • Manage Effective Multi-Channel Communications, both Internal and External
    • Manage candidate sourcing related to social media, email, and website activity
    • Keep job boards up to date, and our jobs at the top of the pages
  • Work with hiring managers to develop the most productive wording in job postings
  • Pre-screen potential candidates and leads

Education/Experience Requirements & Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of experience working as a recruiter
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or other related discipline, or an equivalent amount of education and experience
  • General knowledge of California employment regulations
  • Experience with human resources information systems (HRIS)
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Excellent planning and execution skills – able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements

The role involves sitting for extended periods, using office equipment and computers, and moving between sitting and standing positions. It requires intense concentration to review and enter financial data and frequently use hands and fingers to handle tasks. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Clear communication and the ability to understand others’ speech are essential. The role also requires bending to file and lifting 10-20 pounds.

Work Schedule

  • A 5 x 8 day/hour workweek schedule – may include weekends. Overtime may be required.
  • Must be available to work a schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday through Friday).
