We are looking for an experienced App Store Optimization (ASO) Specialist to support our mobile app growth initiatives. In this freelance role, you will be involved in the ASO strategy and reporting, helping us drive visibility, downloads, and conversion performance across iOS and Android platforms.
This role will initially require 5-10 hours of work over the next 12 months to work across 2 accounts with the possibility to collaborate in more projects/clients with time.
Main Duties
Develop and execute data-driven ASO strategies across App Store and Google Play.
Conduct keyword research and optimize metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) to improve search rankings and visibility.
Design and implement A/B tests for creative assets (icons, screenshots, videos).
Monitor and report on performance using Looker Studio, delivering clear, actionable insights.
Track competitive landscape and identify growth opportunities using tools like AppTweak, App Annie, and Sensor Tower.
Stay current with mobile marketing trends and store algorithm updates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, content, and analytics) to align ASO efforts with broader growth goals.
Ensure deliveries are on time and at a high-quality standard
Requirements & Experience
Proven experience in ASO for mobile apps across both iOS and Android.
Strong expertise in ASO tools such as AppTweak, App Annie, or Sensor Tower.
Proficiency in Looker Studio for data visualization and performance reporting.
Up to date on the latest ASO trends, store best practices, and mobile user behavior.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Familiarity with localization and global ASO strategies.
Experience and knowledge of Excel are essential
Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) would be ideal
