Working hours 

 

Shift Schedule: 

 

This is a 12-hour day shift (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Mountain Time), operating on a 12/7 rotational schedule. The rotation is as follows: 

  • Week 1: Work Wednesday through Saturday (4 consecutive days)
  • Week 2: Off Sunday through Wednesday, then work Thursday through Saturday (3 consecutive days)

 

This rotation then repeats every two weeks, providing built-in extended breaks and predictability for work-life balance.  

 

Holiday: You will be required to work the holiday if a holiday lands during your shift. Holiday pay includes your hours worked, plus 8 hours of holiday at your regular hourly rate.

Who you are 

You are a motivated and customer-focused Level II system administrator who supports our clients Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure. You have hands-on expertise in server/OS, networking, and storage systems, and will play a critical role in supporting multiple client’s environments. 

 

You know how to:  

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and storage systems following pre-defined process.
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Implement automation scripts to streamline routine tasks at the direction and support of our engineering department.
  • Support network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Assist in implementing network improvements through the direction of the engineering department
  • Support storage solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Support regular backups and disaster recovery testing at the direction of the engineering department and know process documentation.
  • Experience patching various devices with known process and tools during a patching cycle
  • Manage virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Support robust IAM policy and security measures within the public cloud.
  • Build/Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.

 

Technology proficiencies: 

 

  • Proficient with server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, VMware).
  • Strong networking knowledge (e.g., Firewalls, Switches and Routers).
  • Experience with storage technologies (e.g., NAS, SAN, backups solutions).
  • Working experience with Observability tools (e.g., Logic Monitor, RMM).
  • Familiarity with Scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ITSM tools.
  • Experience working in an MSP multi-tenant environment
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CCNA, or VMware VCP.

 

 

Pay and Benefits:    

This is a full-time position located in the United States and performed remotely with some travel.  

  

Estimated Starting Salary/Wage Range: $31.25 - $41.00 hourly, less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis (The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure [for existing employees] skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.  Note that the majority of individuals in the position will fall in the low to mid-level of this scale; the upper end of this pay scale is offered only in exceptional circumstances and/or for unusually qualified candidates.)    

 

Differential Pay: In recognition of a non-standard work schedule, the hourly compensation range includes a 10% shift premium called a shift differential. Shift differentials are intended to compensate for work performed during evening, night, or weekend hours and are determined by the majority of hours worked in each shift. Please note that eligibility for shift differential pay is based on your regularly assigned work schedule. If your shift changes and no longer qualifies for a differential, the additional pay will be discontinued, and your compensation will be adjusted accordingly. Details will be provided during the interview and onboarding process
