About the Role:

We are seeking a Team Lead to join our Annotations Department, where you will oversee and manage a team of 10–20 individuals working on video annotation. This multifaceted role encompasses team leadership, project management, quality assurance, and continuous process improvement.

As a Team Lead, your primary responsibility will be to ensure your team not only meets but exceeds the company’s performance and quality standards. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned POD, ensuring the delivery of accurate and consistent annotations within SLA, while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

You will closely monitor daily operational metrics, facilitate weekly team meetings, and hold one-on-one sessions to support and develop individual team members. Additionally, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure team productivity, quality, and the accuracy of annotated data—ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization.

If you are self-motivated and passionate about leadership, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Product Oversight: Develop a deep understanding of the products and projects. Align the team’s goals with the broader product vision, assess the scalability of annotation processes, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency without compromising quality.

  • Team Management: Lead a team of up to 20 employees (a POD), ensuring high morale, motivation, and a collaborative culture where every voice is valued and respected.

  • Effective Communication: Conduct weekly team meetings and biweekly one-on-ones with team members. Demonstrate exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on follow-through.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and R&D teams on side projects. Translate complex product knowledge and updates into clear, actionable information for your POD members.

  • Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with the Team Coordinator to discuss performance metrics and individual concerns. Ensure smooth team operations and consistent performance.

  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and provide support to ensure team members continue to grow and improve in their roles.

  • Performance Assessment: Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance, driving consistent achievement of quotas and activity expectations.

  • Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from team members on process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Team Culture & Engagement: Organize team-building activities and social events to promote a positive and enjoyable work environment.

  • Support & Conflict Resolution: Be approachable and helpful in resolving team issues and conflicts. Demonstrate a passion for people management and an understanding of what drives and motivates others.

  • Time & Stress Management: Effectively manage multiple projects under pressure, often with tight deadlines.

  • Leave Management: Oversee the management of employee time-off requests, including vacation, holidays, sick leave, and parental leave.

What We’re Looking For:
