EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Operations department as a Distribution Service Technician.

Within this role you’ll be a key player in ensuring a constant supply of high-quality drinking water through the operation and maintenance of our underground water network. This role involves inspecting, improving, operating, and repairing our assets to meet customer needs. You'll focus on resolving issues promptly, managing customer expectations, and ensuring a resilient network.

Responsibilities include tracing mains and apparatus, performing valve operations, assessing future repair locations, and promoting network improvements. You'll also conduct proactive asset checks, meet service level agreements, and take personal ownership of customer issues. Safety is paramount, and you'll be expected to carry out risk assessments and comply with statutory standards. If you're dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a resilient water network, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Proficiency in IT and computer literacy is essential.

The role requires excellent communication skills to explain technical information simply to various stakeholders, and the ability to handle operational problems calmly. A positive outlook, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are crucial.

If you are adaptable, can make prompt decisions, and have a knack for problem-solving, we would love to hear from you.

Candidates must have a full UK Driving Licence.
