What are we looking for?
We are looking for highly dedicated Environment & Community Officer to join our safety and result-driven team. This position is permanent full time, working a Monday to Friday roster.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Providing strong leadership to drive a high-performance culture, role modeling and reinforcing the behaviours that will underpin the success of the operation.
Demonstrating a highly visible on-site presence and commitment to implementation of policies, strategy, standards, and systems.
Maintaining and implementing current environmental management systems and plans to ensure compliance with regulatory environmental requirements, Glencore Standards and Mine Standards.
Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders & community; and
Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.
About you:
You will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or related discipline.
You will have a thorough understanding of NSW environmental legislation.
You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.
You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.
You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
