Key impacts include Sustaining and Expanding Services Fundraisers provide the financial resources needed to maintain and expand essential mental health services. Raising Awareness Through fundraising efforts, you will help raise awareness about the CIC’s mission, services, and the issues surrounding mental health. This increased visibility can lead to greater community support, partnerships, and potential collaborations. Building Community Support By engaging with donors, volunteers, and local organisations, fundraisers foster a sense of community ownership and participation. This strengthens the CIC’s ties to the local area, creating a network of people invested in the well-being of the community. Enabling Growth and Innovation With the funds raised, a CIC can invest in new projects, initiatives, and innovations that address emerging mental health needs, enhancing the overall impact of the organisation. What are we looking for?

Key skills and experience include Skills Fundraising Expertise Experience in planning, organising, and executing successful fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives. Knowledge of different fundraising methods (e.g., online campaigns, grant writing, corporate sponsorships, donor engagement). Communication Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with donors, partners, and the community. Ability to craft compelling messages about the importance of mental health services and the CIC’s mission. Relationship Building Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders, fostering a strong sense of trust and commitment. Marketing and Outreach Experience in promoting events and campaigns through social media, digital platforms, and traditional marketing methods to raise awareness and drive donations. Project Management Ability to manage multiple fundraising projects simultaneously, including overseeing timelines, budgets, and team coordination to ensure successful outcomes. Empathy and Sensitivity A compassionate approach and understanding of mental health issues, ensuring the fundraising efforts are respectful, informed, and aligned with the values of the CIC. Experience Previous Fundraising Experience Proven experience in fundraising roles, ideally in the charity, non-profit, or mental health sector, with a track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising targets. Experience with Grants and Funding Applications Familiarity with writing successful grant applications and seeking funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and government bodies. Community Engagement Experience in engaging local communities, businesses, and organisations to raise awareness, build partnerships, and secure financial support. Event Management Experience in organising and executing fundraising events, such as charity auctions, benefit dinners, or sponsored activities, from planning to implementation. Knowledge of Mental Health Issues While not essential, knowledge or experience working within the mental health sector is highly beneficial for understanding the CIC’s objectives and the community it serves.

Community Outreach Raising awareness about V.L.A.D. Outreach CIC and its services through outreach efforts to local businesses, community groups, and supporters. Grant Writing and Applications Assisting in identifying and applying for grants and funding opportunities to secure financial support. Collaboration Working with the V.L.A.D. Outreach team to ensure fundraising efforts align with the organisation's needs and priorities. This role provides an opportunity to directly impact the mental health services available to those who need them most, helping ensure the continuation and growth of essential community support.
