Permanent part-time, 24 to 30 hours per week (0.6FTE - 0.8FTE)
$75,000 - $92,500 salary (pro rata) plus superannuation and salary packaging
The Medicines Information Pharmacist will assist with the delivery of Medicines Information Services through Pharmacy Trust, an initiative Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha).
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer the service will be delivered nationwide on all business days in line with contracted agreements, responding to enquiries via phone call, webform and email, supporting by a Jira priority ticketing platform.
This is a part-time/on-demand position of 24 or 30 hours per week suitable for a Medicines Information Pharmacist (Grade 2/3) with considerable flexibility.
Key duties
Provision of Medicines Information
Ensure the timely provision of current, evidence-based, accurate and objective information about medicines and pharmacotherapy.
Ensure medicines information is provided in accordance with the service operating, policy and procedure manual (see item 2, below), adhering to service scope, priorities and format for managing requests and responses.
Support the delivery of auxiliary service activities, including education articles, education sessions and representation to clinical committees.
Governance and quality assurance
Support the maintenance of the service operating, policy and procedure manual, ensuring alignment as appropriate with the Australian Medicines Information Procedure Manual (2013), SHPA Standards of Practice for Medicines Information Services (2013) and other key documents as identified.
Lead internal, proactive quality assurance activities in accordance with the with the Australian Medicines Information Procedure Manual and/or the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
Medicines Information education
Support the preparation of medicines information articles, education sessions and other resources as required.

Required skills
Registered pharmacist with at least 10 years postgraduate clinical experience
Strong background in Medicines Information area of specialty practice
Strong written and oral communication skills and customer service skills
Very high level of attention to detail
Highly personable with a willing and positive approach to working within a small team
Desirable
Participation as a Verified Member or Leadership Committee member of the AdPha Medicines Information Specialty Practice Group
Recognition in the Medicines Information area of specialty practice through the Australian and New Zealand College of Advanced Pharmacy (ANZCAP)
A postgraduate qualification such as a Master of Clinical Pharmacy or studies in other relevant disciplines
