General Summary
As Area VP of Sales you will be responsible for leading the sales team to meet and exceed our company goals. In addition, you will be responsible for hiring, developing members of our company's talent pool as well as training them on various techniques that are needed to reach set our KPIs (key performance indicators).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business related field
A minimum of 10 years of sales leadership experience preferably in DME
In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
Strong working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Experience managing sales representatives and building high performing sales teams
Strong industry relationships
Experience presenting financial results and progress to executives and/or boards of directors
Detail-minded and well-organized
Strong problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to use MS office, and company database
Preferred Education
Master’s degree in business related field
Preferred Experience
Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
Excellent written/oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Physical Demands
Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.

Working Conditions
Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting of heavy networking equipment.
Travel up to 75% throughout the territory as needed.
Duties And Essential Functions
Each Employee consistently demonstrates the following essential functions:
Evaluate the current sales strategy and bring forward a strong model for success
Provide leadership to a team of full-time sales employees, and maintain a group of high performers
Establish individual goals and deliverables for each sales member and measure accordingly
Increase revenue by identifying and driving new sales opportunities
Develop and articulate an overarching distribution strategy
Manage the sales budget, establish sales targets, and report on budget performance
Communicate resources needed to support the execution of key sales goals
Collaborate across internal departments and build/strengthen relationships externally
Responsible for regular sales meetings, as well as daily internal and external communications
Monitor the market and competitor products and activities
Analyze success through shipments, depletions, and scan data and pivot strategy accordingly
Attends and participates in departmental meetings.
Attends seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence
Ensures all department compliance guidelines are met
Attends all meetings, in-services training, or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor
Provides customer focused interactions
Performs all duties necessary for the department as per department policies and procedures
Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department
